What we see when we look from the margins

About Notes From the Margin *
Notes from the Margin began with a simple belief: the most important questions rarely have simple answers.
What started as a place to write about history has evolved into a space for exploring the ideas, stories, and questions that shape our lives. Here you’ll find essays that move between history, politics, culture, memory, art, and the human experience, not because they are separate subjects, but because they are deeply connected.
I believe the past has something to teach us about the present, but I also believe that understanding the world requires more than facts alone. It requires curiosity. Empathy. A willingness to sit with uncertainty and ask difficult questions.
The title Notes from the Margin reflects the perspective from which these essays are written. Not from the center of power or certainty, but from the edges, from the places where history, policy, culture, and everyday life overlap.
This isn’t a space for easy answers. It’s a space for reflection, exploration, and conversation.
Thanks for reading.
